An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Measurement Engineer to join our Test and Measurement team based in Bristol.

The Bristol Test and Measurement engineering team define, support and execute whole engine and rig testing covering New Production, Overhaul and Development programmes within the Aerospace Sector. There is now the opportunity in Test Engineering to join this exciting world class team in preparation for our future programmes which will provide successful applicants with opportunities to expand their knowledge across all areas of gas turbine operation and development testing.

Key Accountabilities:

- Defines solutions or specifications for test measurement equipment.
- Investigates and troubleshoots measurement equipment problems impacting test activities.
- Provides input to test equipment improvement plans using program management techniques.
- Creates technical specifications, qualification plans & test reports
- Documents and validates test results, focuses on right first-time execution and ensures the quality and accuracy of all test data.
- Sets up and operates dynamic measurement systems.

Experience/ Qualifications

- You will be educated to degree level in a STEM subject and/ or have experience in a relevant engineering environment (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical or Controls). Other qualifications, in combination with relevant experience, may also be considered.
- Knowledge of gas turbines, engineering standards and processes.
- Experience of control systems, software programming, electronics, and electrical design is desirable but not essential.
- Project Management experience in planning, controlling budgets and driving to schedules would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Able to work under pressure, working to tight short-term deadlines and self-motivated with a positive attitude to work
- Strong customer facing interpersonal skills with the desire to lead integrated teams

Candidates should be highly numerate with strong technical and analytical skills, problem-solving ability and capable of systems level thinking, including personal drive, excellent communication and presentation skills, and will need to contribute effectively in a team environment. Candidates will be expected to take the lead in identifying project requirements, specifying and executing packages of work.

The ability to achieve UK security clearance may be required for some roles.
