As part of our digital change programme, our IT team is expanding and has a new opportunity for an experienced IT Manager to join a dynamic IT team and make a difference.

We are looking to hire an IT Network Team Manager within our IT department to manage and develop BHFT IT Network Team. This role will report to the Sr. IT Operations Manager and be responsible for managing and leading a team of Network Engineers. You will work alongside the Desktop Team Manager, Systems Team Manager and Support Desk Manager to deliver a first-class IT support function to the Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The position will work with the Sr. IT Operations Manager to identify and prioritise IT Operational projects; plan, manage and deliver these projects whilst ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed and up to date on progress, milestones and estimated completion dates of these projects. This includes technically supervising any resources assigned and dedicated to the project as agreed with Sr. IT Operations Manager.

Part of this role will be to work with clinical service managers to understand the requirements and provide technical advice to improve the efficiency of the services and ensure that all solutions are in line with the organisational vision

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious manager to drive improvements in the IT team while maintaining SLAs, OLAs and KPIs using ITIL V3 principles. You will act as an escalation point for all technical/non-technical issues and to take ownership of such issues through to resolution, working closely with team members. You will also participate in the change control process to ensure all changes are applied to live environment in a controlled manner.

As our ideal candidate, you will already be operating at an advanced technical level within an ICT environment and therefore have highly technical and relevant management experience. The successful candidate should be educated to appropriate degree level or have suitable equivalent experience. Certified to at least CCNA, CCNP, Prince2 and ITIL qualification or equivalent experience is essential, with other relevant certifications being highly desirable.
