    Hi,

Are you running my software, and FFmpeg, on a Linux or Windows server? That error looks like a Linux command line error.

Also, your FTP client screenshot shows chmod permission values for files and folders (i.e., 0604 and 0777). "chmod" does not exist on a Windows server. Therefore, you must have -- and are currently using -- a Linux server.

Note: You can't run the Windows version of my software on Linux, and you can't run the Linux version of my software on Windows. There is a reason that I have separate software versions for each platform.

Since you have a Linux web server, then you must run the Linux version of the software on your server.

ffmpeg.exe will not work with the Linux version of the software. *.exe files do not run on Linux servers. .exe is generally a Windows-only format for executable files.

Instead, on Linux, you must install the FFmpeg package and the accompanying media codecs packages, as detailed in the software requirements:

This software requires the following server configuration:

. Linux, Windows, or XAMPP/WAMP server
. For commercial servers: Shared, Dedicated, and VPS hosting supported
    . Apache or IIS
    . PHP 5.3+
. cURL and PHP cURL extension enabled
. ffmpeg.exe (executable file, provided in Win32 distribution of this software!) for Windows & XAMPP/WAMP; FFmpeg and codecs packages (libvorbis, libvpx, libmp3lame, libx264, and/or aac codecs) installed on Linux
    . That's it!
If you don't know much about Linux, then I highly recommend that you have your web hosting provider and/or server admin install these packages for you. That is the easiest thing for you to do.

That said, if you would like to install FFmpeg and the codecs packages yourself, then I have provided a SETUP file in the software files distribution, as well as a corresponding 3-part video tutorial series on Dailymotion, that detail the server configuration and package installations required on a (Linux) Ubuntu 12.04 web server.

Finally, I just wanted to quickly note that, since you are on a Linux server, you must set the appropriate permissions for software files and folders, as detailed in the README file and here:

    Installation:

. Unpack/Unzip the distribution file and upload the contents to a new directory on your web server via FTP
    - This directory should be set to the lowest permissions possible that still enable programmatic creation, opening, and modification of the containing files
. Ensure that the 'logs', 'output', 'output_edited', and 'videos' folders (in your new directory), as well as software.xml, have write permissions
    - On Linux systems, this generally means marking the folders/files with chmod 0777
. Set the location of FFmpeg in config.class.php via the _FFMPEG constant
    - On windows systems, this is something like /YourDirectory/ffmpeg.exe
    - On Linux, this will generally be something like /usr/bin/ffmpeg or /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg
. Configure additional constants/variables in Config.class.php as needed
. Set up schedule.php as a scheduled task (or cron job on Linux systems) if you require old, converted files to be deleted on a regular basis
    - The age of files marked for deletion is configurable via _MAX_AGE_FILES constant in config.class.php
    - It is recommended that the scheduled task run daily
. Navigate to index.php of your new directory, and start converting videos!
If, after configuring the server and installing the software, you still have issues, then please refer to the FAQ to learn troubleshooting tips for common issues. The FAQ is pretty thorough and covers most issues. You can start with the section of the FAQ that is most relevant to your situation.

I do sincerely hope that steers you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

    Thanks!

    Hi!

This is intentional. The download and FFmpeg conversion of 1080p video, when you have even moderate levels of site traffic, puts a lot of strain on your server -- in terms of bandwidth (for download) and CPU (for conversion) required.

In the future, I may add support for 1080p -- assuming that the download/conversion of these large video files doesn't dramatically and adversely impact the performance of the majority of servers hosting my software.

Please see this post for more information.

Do let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, when the video is in 1080p download absolutely does not work

example a clip full hd: WyszukiwarkaMp3.eu - does not work

    example, 480/720: WyszukiwarkaMp3.eu - works

possible that there is some other reason? Script freshly installed

I am able to convert this video on the demo site: Youtube to MP3 Converter, Online Video Converter - Grabfrom.com

I think this issue has nothing to do with the video qualities available from YouTube.

Off the top of my head, there are a couple of reasons why this might not work for you:

    1) This could be a video from an encrypted channel, and there is something wrong with your software.xml file (that contains the YouTube decryption code algorithms)
    2) This video is blocked in your server's country

To determine what the exact cause of the issue is, please refer to the relevant section in the FAQ:

Q.When I enter a URL and click the "Convert" button, the page reloads, shows me a "Download" progress bar, and nothing happens and/or I see the message "Error downloading video!". Why is this?

    Hi there,

The software currently uses v2 of the YouTube API. I only use the API once per conversion to collect general information about a video, and no API key is required for this transaction.

I am aware that this API version is deprecated, but for the foreseeable future, it is still entirely functional. And even with high levels of traffic.

Sometime next year (by March/April 2015), when v2 of the API is no longer supported, I will have to make a decision about the API's continued use in my software. Unlike v2 of the API, v3 appears to require an API key for all transactions. But the inclusion of an API key in my conversion software puts your site squarely on Google's radar. While Google reluctantly allows conversion sites to exist, they certainly don't agree with or condone them. So I'd rather not put my customers at risk of being flagged or even banned by Google/YouTube.

When the time comes, instead of using v3 of the API, I will likely resort to scraping either the video info page or the video page itself -- to glean basic information like video title, duration, etc.

In your case, right now, it sounds like you have multiple sites? and are using the YouTube API extensively for multiple applications? For high levels of traffic, I strongly encourage you to give my software its own server. If you must have multiple sites on the same server, you certainly should avoid having multiple sites that all use the YouTube API and/or access/scrape YouTube extensively. Given these conditions, YouTube will eventually notice that these requests are all coming from the same IP and server, and they will start rate limiting your use of the API and/or your access to YouTube video pages in general.

If you must use the YouTube API for multiple sites on the same server, you could try switching the sole YouTube API request in my software to v3 of the API (from v2). In 'extractors/YouTube.php', you have this code:

    PHP Code:
    file_get_contents('http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos/'.$vidID.'?alt=json'
You could try changing that to the following (I have not tested this!):

    PHP Code:
    file_get_contents('https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/videos?id='.$vidID.'&key=YOUR_API_KEY'
See this documentation for reference. You may need to parse the API response differently (in 'extractors/YouTube.php') if the returned JSON data is formatted differently in v3 of the API.

Do let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. I had trouble understanding your English, so hopefully I have helped you here.

    Thanks!

If memory serves, I think that is usually a user/group ownership issue.

For example, if you upload the software into a folder as the 'root' user, but the containing folder is owned by a user/group with fewer permissions, then this can happen.

If you are using FileZilla as your FTP client, check the Owner/Group column for user/group ownership settings for your files and directories.

To change ownership of any given directory so that it matches the containing directory, you can execute the "chown" command recursively (for example):

    Code:
    chown user:group -R /home/user/public_html/VideoConverter
Do let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Thanks!
