    disabling toolbar

Does anyone know if there is a way using javascript to disable a toolbar on a page from within itself rather than a spawner window? maybe using a reload in the same window?

I need the same thing but with an explicit purpose

    I think I need this!

What I'm trying to achieve (and I'm sure others have tried) is I want to use the browser (Mozilla Firefox 0.9.3) as the image viewer for pictures in a Powerpoint presentation.

What I want is to pop-up a window stripped of menubar, status bar, toolbars and scrollbars that is sized to 'best fit' the image (or fixed at 640x480 image size) that can be used to display the image. It could also do to centre the image on any resolution screen that I run the presentation on.

A lot of the solutions on here use the script to generate a pop-up from within a page, but it needs to be loaded in the pop-up itself as Powerpoint only allows it's HTML link to link to a document, not to enter some HTML/Javascript to achieve it.

(I could cheat by turning off all the unwanted elents of the browser window and dragging to resize and position then closing it - hence all new windows open with these properties, but I'm doing Internet demonstrations and I need a fully default browser window for when I switch to this. It looks rather 'quick and dirty'!)

I know the answer lies within the 'modal window' threads and how the self.moveto and self.resizeto bits work, but I can't seem to fiddle with anyone else's script to achieve what I want........

Here's hoping! (And does this feature of Excel improve after the version I have (Excel 2000)?)
