    clear (as a CSS attribute) can take 'left', 'right', 'both' and 'inherit' as it's values...so at a guess
    Code:
    <br style="clear:both;" />
    Never having come across clearing a line-break, what are you trying to do?

    Ok, so I was intrigued as to this mysterious 'clear' attribute, and it seems it's (was?) normally used to force text to clear an image. If this is what you're trying to do, then you want to give the image (or a div, or whatever) the "clear: both;" style, and do away with the line-break.
