changing size of photo links in tumblr that open in new windows

I am a new coder...I've been able to change simple aspects of my boyfriend's tumblr through trial and error; however, there is one aspect that I am having immense trouble with. The issue I am trying to work out is:

When we click on the photos on the main page, it opens them up in a new window (which [I]is[I] what we want). The problem we are encountering is that we want the images that open up in a new window to be larger.

I have gone through the code numerous times, changing any sort of width I'd seen and I have also tried writing code as well based off of threads I have read. But I am still unable to change this aspect.

If anyone is able to help me out, that would be phenomenal!

    The website url is: http://tonyrodriguezillustrator.tumblr.com/

I tried posting the code itself on here...but they said it was too long of a message, but it can obviously be obtained from the link itself.

    Thanks in advance!

The links are not the same as would be for the full size example. For example, the top photo of the bomber:

    Page link: http://tonyrodriguezillustrator.tumb...-bomber-16-x20

    Full size photo link: http://25.media.tumblr.com/f3290345a...vgbo1_1280.jpg

This may be the way your Tumblr theme or Tumblr itself sets up your page, but if you can edit the links yourself, you can set to the link to the full size image. Or, maybe use JQuery to show larger image on a mouseover. See this. Click on any image on right.
