    Exclamation HELP stacking Divs

So here's the issue I am having. I am trying to stack 2 separate Divs (one logo and one text) on top of a js slider. I want the logo and text to be static with the pictures sliding in behind them. Is this even possible?? I have tried using position:relative, Css etc. I am at a loss.

I will need a little bit more than just a "use this", as I am just learning and anything overly technical will not help or make sense. So some explanation, even a small walk through would be greatly appreciated.

I have images of what I am trying to accomplish, so If you think you can lend a hand or an idea, send me a message and I will forward the info and code snippets to help you see what I am trying to do.

Thanks in advance for any help provided!

Have you also tried to use z-index together with position: relative?

the z-index is a css property that determines priority in stacked objects, so if you set your images z-index to -1 and then stack your divs, your image should display.

see http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_pos_z-index.asp for code examples (1 in the DOM z-index link) and a so-so explanation
