    CSS not loading properly on an android mobile.

    I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem, couldn't find an answer after a search through the forum.
    I have a website, consists of the usual html, css, php and a mysql database doing database stuff in the background.
    I am developing a mobile version and regular version of the website.

    I recently updated my HTC Desire S, running android, a system update or whatever. (and my housemate made the same update, his phone has the same behavior).
    The mobile version of the site will be displayed no problem. However after refreshing the page, the only version of the site it will display is the non-mobile version.
    The site was operating fine, pre-update.
    I can close the browser, open it again and the same behavior will repeat.
    My css looks like this:

    /* css here /*

    @media only screen and (max-device-width: 800px), only screen and (max-width: 800px) {

    /* mobile css here */

    What's going on? i can't figure it out.
    I can't find any mobile browser settings that will fix the problem.
    Thanks for helping out a noob.

    Saw you tried what I suggested. :-\

    Try removing the max-device-width, and see if it works then?
