Starting a SAAS company - which is the most common language?

I've been coming across a lot of these SAAS (Service as a software) services like Zoho, Celayix, Salesforce and the list goes on (Literally).

Are these guys using a combination of languages (Javascript, Ajax, etc) or is there something else out there that I need to learn?

One of the my goals is to create SAAS application.

I'm come across a few problems that can really benefit from a SAAS based solution.

if you want to get involved with SaaS concept, make sure you get a clear understanding of multi-tenant and single-tenant concept.
Multi-tenant: single application with multiple tenants (databases) for each client
Single-tenant: application gets installed for each client. <-- you should not do this!!!!!

As for technology, take a look at LAMP (Linux, apache, mysql, php). An example is sugarcrm, which is based on LAMP. In addition to what is mentioned, they do leverage javascripts and ajax in order to deliver appropriate solutions to each client on their cloud platform.

hope this helps. If you got more questions, feel free to post.

    Hello,

I can suggest you to choose to build both front end and back end

Javascript on the Front end (Angular, React, Ember or some other one). Javascript on the backend (Node.js) and Javascript on mobile (React-Native).
