Don't forget to start your JavaScript code with "use strict"; which makes it easier to find errors in your code.

Self-study. There are lots of basic tutorials you can find online like w3schools.com, lynda.com and codeigniter.com. You can also watch video tutorials in youtube for html, css, php, databases and so forth. Or you can read ebooks or go to library to read any programming resources. Or you can enrol to any online courses.

Only if you want to know how to do it in 1997. That web site only has some pages up to date - the rest can be up to 20 years out of date and unless you know the topics properly you will not know which are which.

For example 6 of the first 15 JavaScript tutorials teach how it was done up to 15 years ago and should never be written that way unless most of your visitors are using Netscape as their browser.
