Android Time Picker widget working even on non time HTML5 element

    Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and looking forward to be able to be a contributing member!

I have come across a website which is based on angularjs. It's a website for Stockholm city's public transportation planner. They have a time picker widget divided to hour and minute, and when I open the mobile version on android I get the nice time picker widget to choose both hour and minute. It looks like this picture with addition of minute picker:

The time picker is shown in this image:

The strange thing is that this picker is designed for HTML element of type "time". But the source code as far as I inspected doesn't have any mention of it. It simply is a Span containing a select element and values of hour and minute as Option values, of course bound to a model in angularjs. Therefore it perplexes me how does android browser figure out it is a time element. You can access the website at https://sl.se

I would appreciate your answers and tips regarding my question.

I can’t look at it on an Android device but I could very well imagine that the script is detecting the device type and inserting a hidden time input, or something like that.
