    Help needed

    What are the thing we need to optimize a website. My question is what the things should the developers of a site consider (SEO wise) while they are developing the site? So that there wont be any hassle in the future while

    Write decent quality content and provide users with the means to navigate through your web site easily.

    On-site there are only TWO major concerns. Semantic markup and unique content of value.

    "Semantic markup" is just part of graceful degradation and is for the most part a sick euphemism for "using HTML properly". It means <p> around actual grammatical paragraphs of one or more sentences, not "I want a gap after this" or "this happens to be a block of text". It means <ul>/<ol> and <li> around short bullet points or selections. That's GRAMMATICAL bullet points as in 'short featured text' and not "hurr durr it has a dot before it". It means using numbered headings to create your logical document structure that can be navigated and digested by non-visual users.

    ... and most of all that means -- assuming you skip the idiotic halfwit HTML 5 structural tags that just piss on accessibility -- main, article, nav, heading, footer, and aside are just 100% derpitude -- your H1 (singular) -- is THE (singular) heading (singular) under which everything on the site (aka multiple pages) is a subsection of, just as the title of a book, magazine, or newspaper appears at the top of every page or fold-pair. It means H2 indicates the start of a major subsection of the current page, with the text after the first H2 (or HR) is the 'main' content of the page. H3 meaning the start of a subsection of the H2 preceding it. H4 being the start of a subsection of the H3 preceding it. Care to guess what H5 and H6 MEAN? Even HR means a change in topic or section where heading text is unwanted or unwarranted.

    HR does NOT mean "draw a line across the screen" any more than H1..H6 means "text in different sizes". That is just their default behavior, NOT WHAT THEY MEAN!!!

    As the joke goes, search engines don't have eyeballs.

    It also means that whilst yes, search engines are getting better about content loaded via AJAX, do not make them work harder than they have to using JavaScript and AJAX for NOTHING of value. If you care about accessibility (or worse legally HAVE to make it accessible) your should at LEAST be able to deliver your unique content and even provide basic navigation and functionality BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK about throwing JavaScript at it!

    ... and accessibility -- through semantic markup for non-sighted users, graceful degradation so that fancy bits of technology are missing or are intentionally blocked -- is job one in building a website if you care about search for ONE simple reason; and it's something Matt Cutts told us about a decade ago:

    Write for the user, not the search engine!
    At the end of the day, users visit websites for the CONTENT -- NOT the goofy 'gee ain't it neat' scripted animated nonsense, not the goofy art some PSD jockey under the DELUSION they are a "web designer" put on the page to stroke their ... ego. Let's say ego, I mean something else.... In that way extra bloated crap that gets in the way of delivering accessible content quickly and simply to the user is the OPPOSITE of SEO, because you're flat out NOT writing for the user.

    No matter how many know-nothing marketing execs, artists who THINK they know what design is, and script kiddies creaming their panties over the latest revisions of jQuery will try to SCAM you into thinking otherwise!

    "Unique content of value" SHOULD be a no-brainer -- but is surprisingly lacking. It's common sense really, if you've got the same crap as everyone else, how do you expect to rank any better than others?

    In that way most of the fancy stuff ALLEGED "designers" splooge onto websites -- like goofy animations, bloated raster graphics, stock images EVERYONE knows are stock, "Black hat" SEO trickery like keyword stuffing and link farms, and even off the shelf templates that force you to write content to fit the layout instead of making layouts that adapt to the content -- end up nothing more than dumping a can of shellac on a pile.

    No matter how fine a sheen you can polish it to, the result is still just bug excrement on horse manure.

    The things that has to be considered while developing a website by a developer in the context of SEO are as follows:
    1. Title
    2. Meta Tags
    3. Schema
    4.Alt Text
    5.keywords optimized
    6. page loading time
    7. Ping time
    8. Secure layer.

    Including SEO factors, you must be aware of these key factors:
    1. Design
    2. Schemas
    3. Back End Code
    4. Loading Speed
    5. Title Tags, Meta Tags, Image Tags
    6. HTML, XML sitemap and whole structure of website
    7. Content, keywords, paragraph structure
