View Full Version : Problem linking between Frames

Hi, I was hoping someone might be able to help me. I am having real trouble with this and cant find a simple answer (well simple for me)

Can anyone tell me what code I need to add to make items from the nav on the left of this page open on the right?

The hockey > champions trophy section is active, but it will not go where I want. It opens into another page. I have seen javascript code to make it open in the frame I want, but everytime I added it to the .js file, the menu disappears.

Any help for a novice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Google is your friend...look there first (http://www.htmlite.com/lite018.php).

Thanks but I have tried about 50 different things I have googled. Nothing works for me. Everytime I try something either the nav disappears, it wont expand/collapse anymore, or it just still opens in the same window.

This is what the javascript generates, so the <A HREF command doesn't help

eLK("e1d15d3","wrnb","Champions Trophy","http://www.addictedtosport.com/hockey/hockeymenct.html");

I am happy to pay someone to do the couple lines of code that is required if that is what it is going to take.

Despite the fact that IMHO its poorly written Javascript I was able to get it to work.
Simply by changing the window.open call to parent.indexright.location =""

function eF30(eV28){return "emtWin=window.open('"+eV28+"')"}

function eF30(eV28){return "parent.indexright.location ='"+eV28+"'"}

Any time you call window.open() it will open a new window simple as that

Good Luck,

It works:eek:

My god you are a genius.

You don't realise how much I appreciated that.

I have been tearing my hair out for 2 weeks over that.

I have no idea whether the javascript is good or bad. Unfortuntaly eMenuTree is the only program I have found that creates the nav I want.

Again greatly appreciate all your help.
