View Full Version : online bookmarks?

Hi, I bookmark quite often in addition to moving from computer to computer throughout the day. Does an application or service exist that would allow me to, say, right click on the current webpage I'm viewing an add it to some sort of "online bookmark" service which would allow me to logon and view the bookmarks in an orderly fashion?

Right now I'm copying/pasting and sending myself emails, this is tedious. Any ideas? thanks.

There are MANY online bookmarking services.

del.icio.us is probably the best-known:
Keep in mind that, by default, all bookmarks are public. It is known as a social bookmarking site. So once you bookmark a site, you'll be told how many other people on the del.icio.us site have bookmarked the same URL. That way you can go see what other people with the same interests as you have bookmarked. And vice versa: people can see YOUR bookmarks.

In addition to del.icio.us, there are MANY similar sites (shadows, sitejot, blinklist, spurl, etc.). If you use Yahoo! and Google, their custom interface page allows you to add your favorites there too.

Alternatively, If you have a USB key on you, portable apps (http://portableapps.com/) are another solution. They run straight off your USB key. There's also this (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2448/) online bookmarks firefox extension.
