Hello,

I have recently been put in charge of a professor's website. I only have a month or so of experience with html, javascript and css.

I am trying to create a page with mouse-over popups. Everything works fine in Firefox. In IE though, portions of the popups remain in the side and top navigation bars even when the mouse is not hovering on the text. I cannot seem to figure out how to get rid of them. I have tried changing the z-index, but it has not changed anything. Below is the link:

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated!

easiest
add style visibity:hidden; to all

<div class="leftPic" style="visibility:hidden;" id="Phasmidiasta">
<table class="image">
<tr>
<td><img src="http://sharkeylab.org/sharkeylab/IMG/Alysiinae/Phasmidiasta.jpg">

<br>
Phasmidiasta
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>

<script language="JavaScript">
<!--

function showPic(divName){
document.getElementById(divName).style.visibility = 'visible';
document.getElementById(divName).style.zIndex = '3';
}
function hidePic(divName){
document.getElementById(divName).style.visibility = 'hidden';
}

// -->
</script>
