View Full Version : Removing "X-Source" from sent mail

I have noticed that all emails sent using PHP have the following email headers:
X-Source: /usr/bin/php
X-Source-Args: /usr/bin/php email_script.php
X-Source-Dir: /public_html/email_dir

This presents a security concern as certain directories and scripts should never be known to anyone but myself.

How can I prevent those "X-Source" headers from being sent with the email?

They are either being added by your PHP code or by the mail program that it is calling. If it is the PHP then simply don't add those headers. If the mail program then you will need to talk to your host.

They are not added anywhere in our code.
