View Full Version : Calendar Problems

Every post I've made thus far as been about css conflicts between IE and Netscape.

With that said, I've read through the FAQ as best I can and don't think that this is covered in it.

So I'm working on a calendar that works fine in IE but not firefox. The weird thing, though, is that it WAS working and then I changed something which caused it to stop. I changed it back but I can't get it to work again.

The html file is http://www.nestent.net/newcovenant/calendar/december_large.html

The css file is http://www.nestent.net/newcovenant/calendar/calendar_large.css

Thanks, I always appreciate the help you guys give me.

Since I don't have anything but IE around, could you define "not working"?
It's a basic table; how can that be "not working"?

By the way: this:

text-decoration: none;
color: #FFFFFF;

font-weight: bold;
color: #FFFFFF;
} will certainly not work; pseudo-classes don't work that way.
This should do the job:

a {
text-decoration: none;
color: #fff;

a:hover {
font-weight: bold;
{ but if you want to specifically address the various link states through pseudo-classes, you'll have to spell them out:

a:link, a:visited, a:active {
Also remember to observe the Link / Visited / Hover / Active order (LoVe, HAte).

in your css instead of this:

border: solid 1px #000000;

write in in this way:

border: 1px solid #000000;

border: SIZE/STYLE/COLOR in that order

and see if fixes anything.

changing the solid 1px to 1px solid didn't do anything. What I mean but "doesn't work" is that the borders don't showup in firefox/mozilla. Thanks for the help so far though.

font-family: Times New Roman;
color: #000000;
font-size: .9em;
font-style: normal;
font-weight: bold;
text-align: center;

your missing a } to close the font.days.

since you have no doctype declared IE just goes whatever and enters quirks mode and puts it in there for you. Every other browser waits until you correct the typo.
