Greetings,

I'm a cut&paster who just inherited maintenance of a site from a previous webmaster who passed on.

It's an old-fashioned email order form, with a calculate subtotal, calculate shipping, and calculate grand total function, then a submit.

I found several typos in the form, and fixed them, and eliminated some products they wanted taken off.

But something's gone wrong, and form won't calculate the sub total. The first 6 products listed in the code are added - and then it stops. (they are displayed in different order on the page).

The form is at http://www.marineminerals.com/-order.htm . The form is pointed to me right now, the order people, so feel free to order away.

FWIW, the text doc it accesses for the email form is at http://www.marineminerals.com/mailform.txt

Please help, I've been looking at this for 3 hours and can't figure out what's wrong...

Javascript console in Firefox is your friend. As is the web developer extension.

Security Error: Content at http://www.marineminerals.com/-order.htm may not load or link to file:///C|/WWW/public_html/mmstyles.css.

Error: t421 is not defined
Source File:
Line: 6

Where is the code that actually does the calculation? Seems it's referring to hard-coded names rather than looping through the form fields. You don't have an input named t421 any more.

It works! It works! 88 miles per hour!

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond. Your response got me in the right direction (there were more errors than just the one...).

Your web site, http://www.ipwebdesign.net/ is really cool. Clearly, you really can "fix javascript errors!!!"

Thanks again.
