View Full Version : Verizon Residential Fiber

I have a cousin & uncle who work for Verizon and they are telling me they've been working on that fiber project in our city. Apparently Verizon will be offering a cable television, phone, & high-speed internet connection package to residential users for around $100/mo. The internet connection is supposedly faster than DSL.

Granted, this is all heresay at this point, but it sounds like a pretty good deal. I loathe Verizon and can't see myself paying them a single dollar, but it would definitely put pressure on local cable providers to become competetive, no?

Anyone have plans on signing up or have all ready signed up for this when it comes to your city?

My mother uses Verizon DSL, its always cutting out.
She also uses their phone services, flat rate for local and long distance calling anywhere anytime in the United States. I enjoy mooching off her phone sometimes but the internet sucks. Ill never spend a penny on their interenet. Adelphia has got quick and reliable cable services in the California area. Maybe Arizona/Nevad as well, not 100% sure about those areas. As for cable tv, Id stick with Direct TV. Although we have Adelphia for our cable internet, Direct TV internet sucks as well as Verizon.
