View Full Version : Suggestions for drop down menu

I`m looking for a drop down menu suitable for my site. I`ve built the site so it is expandable under different resolutions, and not a fixed width.

I`ve tried several menu scripts from `dynamic drive` but they all sit to the left, and look stupid when the site expands and they sit to the left! Then of course, I have all the fun of differing positioning with the various browsers.

I did look at the free open cube menu`s, but it means the whole script has to be placed in each page. The ones from `dynamic drive` were more convenient, with a seperate file for the main script. It means I can adjust the menu easily without going through all the pages.

This the type of menu I was after, sadly this one floats all over the place and is no used for an expanding site

Did I confuse anyone? :D

Do you know about brothercake's UDM (http://www.brothercake.com/site/products/menu/) ?

hmm, apperently, you would have to purchase it. Just so you are aware.

Do you mean this effect?

When you resize the browser, the menu position will be adjusted.

My UDM4 menu is probably not suitable in this case - you want something that you can control from a single JS include, and UDM doesn't work like that - it uses an HTML component that must be there on every page, because pure-JS menus are fundamentally inaccessible.
