View Full Version : tabs-spacing letters between two points

Wondering how to structure a small paragraph that is shaped like a tornado.
I know that in MS Word, I could select a left tab and a right tab, and have the sentence start and end at exactly those two points.

How can I do that in HTML?

I want to have full control over how my paragraph appears. Start with a full length sentence at the top, followed by ever-decreasing sentence lengths below that one. Something like:

I am trying to achieve something like this
so that when people look at my little
paragraph they can see that it
looks like a tornado, or
an upside-down
But having the <center> tags is not good enough. My tornado looks a little 'off' in some places. I want my tornado to be perfectly uniform on each side down to the center. Exactly 4 character spaces indented on both sides of the sentence in relation to the above sentence. Then the characters within the sentence are fluid, having the proper spacing or half-spacing when required. I guess I want to control the left and right angles of the paragraph.

Thanks for any help.

use <pre></pre> tags to execute manual formatting of text...
