View Full Version : Right-aligned horizontal list menu not working in Opera

Mar 7th, 2005, 05:02 PM

I have a <ul> that is told to be right: 0 of its container. That works. I also tell the <li> inside it to float: left. The effect should be a right-aligned horizontal menu. Opera renders it as a vertical menu, but will make it horizontal if I set the width of the <ul> to something absolute. The trouble with that is that I can't be sure what the width of this menu is (items get added/removed depending on the server-side state of the menu class) so I'm stuck for ideas.

Any ideas on how to get this working in Opera? Would be hugely appreciated.

Erm, anyone? :( Would be super if I could get this menu working in Opera.

Could you give it a width like 1%, and have it be forced wider?

Well, it's looking fine to me? Maybe you've got it sorted out now? The other day when I passed by your site (to comment on 'horsetails') the nav was really funky in Opera - to the left, and disappearing off the screen!? Looks fine now though.

Kind Regards,

In Opera. It's fine in everything else.

And yes I've given it small widths. I've tried white-space: nowrap, too. Nothing seems to be doing the trick.
