View Full Version : not another e-commerce question

alright, I think I've looked up/down/right/left for a simple/customizable cart with no success.

I installed the oscommerce cart but it has too much, and it takes forever to completely customize, plus I'm not too familiar with PHP. All I want is something like this (http://www.aspfaq.com/cart/products.asp), but with images inside the cart when you go to view it or check out. That is all! All the free carts have restrictions on design, and I'm all about design. I have fears about going in the files, I may screw something.

I've given up on searching, can someone please foward me to a tutorial site for making carts, or something, since I can NOT find that either, it can be PHP, CGI, whatever. Or a good free cart script, either one would help. Maybe I'm not searching right.

I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Welcome here!

Just a wild thought but, ever concidered hiring someone that is knowledgable enough to write this for you, or to customise an existing application?
I can hardly believe that none of the 148 shoppingcarts at http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/E-Commerce/Shopping_Carts/index.html
would suit you.

If this is not an option, then you'll need to learn PHP or another scripting language and write it yourself. Tutorials about how to write a shoppingcart probably don't exists. There are hower plenty of tutorials about getting started with db's, with PHP, with formhandling, sessionmanagement, security etc. Which are your main components for all applications.
