Hello all,

I am new to Coding Forums and at both html/css. I hope that you bare with me.

I was writing some code (well at least trying to) and I have gotten stuck. In my css file I have set the text-decoration to none for some of my links.

They still have the underline on them.

The other is I set the font-color to white (it is over background that has an image). The color will not change to white.

If anyone has time to take look at this I would be appreciate this. I have looked at it but I still cannot find the issue. I am sure that there or other issues in the page. But for now I just want it to work. I can correct the other issues after.

html, head{
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
padding-left: 10%;
margin: 0%;
background-color: #FFF8DC;

}

body{
height: 100%;
width: 90%;
padding: 0%
margin: 0%;
background-attachment: center;
hyphens: auto;

}
.object{
height: 100%;
width: 90%;
background-size: cover;
background-attachment: fixed;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
color: black;
}
h1{
margin: 0;
font-family: Verdana, Aerial, Geneva, Aerial Black;
font-size: 50px;
text-align: center;
padding-top: 2%;
padding-bottom: 0%;
}
p{
margin: 0;
font-family: Verdana, Aerial, Geneva, Aerial Black;
font-size: 20px;
text-align: center;
padding-top: 0%;
padding-left: 10%;
padding-right: 10%;
}
.mainpara1{
margin: 0;
font-family: Verdana, Aerial, Geneva, Aerial Black;
font-size: 20px;
text-align: center;
padding-top: 3%;
padding-left: 9%;
padding-right: 9%;

}
.servlink1{
text-align: left;
font-color: white;
font-family: Verdana, Aerial, Geneva, Aerial Black;
line-height: 1.5em;
padding-left: 10%

}

.one{
background-image: url('1.jpg');
}
.two{
background-image: url('2.jpg');
}
.three{
background-image: url('3.jpg');
}
.four{
background-image: url('4.jpg');
}
.five{
background-image: url('5.jpg');
}
.small{
height: 40%;
color: black;
}

Once again thank you.

Hi there Lja2713!!

and a warm welcome to these forums. ;)

"I hope that you bare with me"

With regard to that, I would like to draw your attention
to this pertinent post...

bare with me (http://www.codingforums.com/html-and-css/385020-help-die-function.html#post1532239)

As for your problem I can see no reference to either
"text-deoration" or "color:white" or even "color: #fff". :eek:

Can you give us the your actual CSS and also the
actual HTML to which it relates?
