View Full Version : "Pretty" Validation Prompts

Hi All,
In an application with validation prompts I'd like to have "pretty" alerts rather than the standard ones. I've attempted to attach a .gif that illustrates what I mean by "pretty" and what I mean by standard.

In case there's a problem with the attachment, an example of what I mean by "pretty" would be the prompts used on Hotmail when you empty your trash bin. In that case, you get a warning dialog where the text appears on a white background and the buttons have a background color. It seems like a small popup window except that the user cannot put the focus back to the main page unless they click on the OK or Cancel button.

Can anyone point me towards a resource that shows how this can be done, or explain it to me?

You can look thru Dynamic Drives Script Library for DHTML Popups (sorry I do not have a link handy) or you may find this page (http://www.webxpertz.net/demo/popup/popup.htm) helpful. (click on the word here)
