They are used for when you use .net validators.

ok, i tred as hard as i could to find it and i think the closest i got was http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/cpref/html/frlrfsystemwebuipageclassvalidatorstopic.asp but it still didnt really give me any help

i just want to know what they do and how to use them

if you create asp.net pages, it is possible to add a validator object to the page. These objects rely on clientside scripts, which are put in the aspnet_client directory (these are IE-only scripts btw. -> document.all is used)

if you want to use them, i advise using an asp.net development environment like Visual Studio 7 or webmatrix (free from MS)

I personally wouldn't rely on the validators since they are IE only.

I'd have to agree with OracleGuy. You'd think as "standards-oriented" as .NET is supposed to be, Microsoft would quit using JScript and use JavaScript.

I dont really know hte diff between JScript and JavaScript but i thought it was in JavaScript anyway, just with a IE check

I cant be arsed using them anyway now since you said that guys :p

I have visual Studio 7 EA btw, webmatrix sucks imo :p
