Hi,

I have an unordered list that works perfectly in all the major browsers except IE 8. Instead of displaying the list horizontally, it displays them in a vertical list. here is the css:

ul.navbar {
display: inline;
list-style-type: none;
font-family: Arial;
font-weight: bold;
font-size: 1em;
width: 950px;
overflow: hidden;
padding-top: 10px;
padding-bottom: 10px;
padding-left: 0px;
margin-left: 15px;
margin-top: 0px;
position: absolute;
top: 160px;
background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #ffffff, #f2f2f2);
background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#ffffff), to(#f2f2f2));
background-image: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #ffffff, #f2f2f2);
background-image: -o-linear-gradient(top, #ffffff, #f2f2f2);
-moz-box-shadow: 0 3px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.2);
-webkit-box-shadow: 0 3px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.2);
box-shadow: 0 3px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.2);
z-index: 20;
}

ul.navbar li {
display: inline;
width: 1024px;
padding-right: 35px;
padding-top: 0px;
margin-left: 0px;
margin-top: 0px;
white-space: pre;
font-weight: bold;
font-size: 1em;
}

Any help please! Thank you :)

here is the css: Some CSS without any HTML involved is pretty useless. Please post your entire HTML+CSS or give a link to your page.
