Im a beginner when it comes to HTML coding.
Making my first website in College.
My problem is the Alt Image Tag coding just isn't working.
From what i've read it is as easy as entering the desired tag text like this

[code]<div id="one"><img src="images/painterly.jpeg" alt="Painterly By Lyubov Popova" ></div>][code]

But no tag will appear when i hover over the image.
Is there another way of doing this or am i wrong?

Do i need css for alt tags?
(this is how clueless i am)

"alt" is for a piece of text that will be displayed if your image file (the jpeg) is not found on your server. If you're looking for a tag that pops up when you hover over the image, you want to use title="Painterly By Lyubov Popova"
