Hi guys

For my website i decided to go with ckfinder for image upload and management through my ckeditor.

I had everything working smoothly within the local but when i uploaded to my server i get the following error:

It was not possible to properly load the XML response from the web server.

Raw response from the server:

<br />
<b>Warning</b>: mysql_real_escape_string() [<a href='function.mysql-real-escape-string'>function.mysql-real-escape-string</a>]:
Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in <b>/home/xxx/public_html/users/ckfinder/config.php</b> on line <b>65</b><br />

the line of code its pointing to is the root which is:

$isauth = trim($_SESSION['IsAuthorized']);
$authorised = mysql_real_escape_string($isauth);
$baseUrl = '/resources/blogimages/' . $authorised . '/blog/';

ive printed the session out and its working fine with the correct username

I get this working if i dont use the mysql_real_escape_string but i want to use this as i do not trust anything.

How do i work around this?

The ckeditor is working fine its just the ckfinder.

I am asking on here as i have been asking for a week now on ckfinder forum and the so called dedicated support email they provide to paying customers.

Not had 1 response yet.

Will not be using them again i think.

The start of the page has the session start command also!

ive printed the session out and its working fine with the correct username

It works 100% on my local so i have no reason why its not working within the server and why is it asking to connect to database within the error message as the ckfinder does not use a database? its just uploading and inputting into ckeditor, the ckeditor is inputting the data.

The ckeditor is working fine its just the ckfinder.

your script is having problems connecting to a database it says so on last line.. your local db info might be different from your server db

this script does not have a database, it does not sit alone.

It works if i take the mysql_real_escape_string() out

But i would like to keep that in for security reasons.

you can't use mysql_real_escape_string() without a database connection
