View Full Version : Code showing in Google page description

I just tried to link to one of the pages on our website to Facebook, and saw that the code is showing in the page description - the same happens on Google. I can't figure out how to 'hide' the code, without actually hiding the elements.

The site is made in WordPress.

The page is http://www.wallstreetservices.com/executive-admin-assistant.

Here's the text that showing in the description:
"Typical opportunities Click on a sector to learn more about it. table.sample { border-width: 0px; border-spacing: 1px; border-style:"

Does anyone have any ideas of how I can fix this? If you need me to provide the code I can do that as well, just let me know!

Thank you!

Validate your page and this will go away. You should not have <style> elements in the HTML body - they are required to be only in the head section. Same goes for <meta> tags. Google is picking up what it thinks is page content because it is in the body.

All-in-all you have 42 errors and 8 warnings (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wallstreetservices.com%2Fexecutive-admin-assistant&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0&ss=1&verbose=1). Fixing those will be a boon to your SEO ranking and will make your website more cross-browser compatible.

Take a look at the validator and start patching those up. Let us know if you get stuck and we can help.
