View Full Version : Firefox moving my buttons

Hi. This is my first website. I need help.

When I look at the site in internet explorer only thing wrong is that the last button on the top navigation bar is shifting to a second row.

When I look at the site in firefox, almost all the buttons on my map are moved off to the right side They are supposed to match up with the background image. I used margins and absolute positioning to align them.

If anyone knows whats going on I would really appreciate your advice. Thanks.

First thing we do when site does not work in cross browsers is validate:

Your site has 34 Errors, 22 warning(s) that should be corrected before moving on.

Checked it out. But I'm not sure what any of the validator errors mean. It is almost all stuff about defining entities in the javascript for my slideshow widget. I didn't write this code it just came with the adobe spry widget.

I used the html tidy site too and repasted the code and it screwed everything up.

The problem I'm having is something that can be fixed without this validator.

Please tell me how to fix the positioning of my images. Thanks.

lot of errors on the page, but I would suggest floating the <a>s to the left to eliminate any white-space.

a { float: left; }

take a look at the "horizontal nav bar" section. you should try to use an <ul> for the nav bar
