View Full Version : Midas compatible RTE?

Anyone gotten their hands on a Midas compatible RTE (Rich Text Editor, or WYSIWYG HTML editor) that is implemented as an Object? I'm tired of hacking these things to get multiple instances on a page!

The best one I've found so far is this one (http://www.kevinroth.com/rte/demo.htm) but, alas, it's all global and uses hardcoded element IDs!

If I can't find one, I guess I'll just have to break down and make one myself :(

I haven't seen any clean OO one yet. You should write one ;).

Some limitations of Midas I found were that it only works on pages served as text/html. I was going to write an interactive MathML editor for Mozilla, but unfortunately that made it impossible. Then again, IE doesn't even support any mime-type other than text/html, so it doesn't put Midas behind anything. :D
