View Full Version : Header image wont wrap with Nav Bar

I'm having trouble trying to align my header image. I can slot it in where I want it to be but it sends my navigation menu down.

Ie. I would like the header image to be where it is (but need to png it or something, that's beside the point tho) and the nav bar to be on the same line, just under the top of the border. Like So:

You can view the site here

Is there some kind of code that I'm missing? Placing the image wrong?

Also, I can't seem to make the font of the nav bar smaller either?

Thanks so much for taking the time to click into the question, appreciate it!!:thumbsup:

please republish the site with the header image included so we can see what you have so far. I'm betting you made the image larger than 100px height so it's forcing the table column to expand

Thanks for your reply!

I have just redone that sorry. My image is only 99 pixels high, so not sure it's because of the size?

you are putting the image in the row above your first nested table, you should be putting it into the nested table itself. put the image\anchorlink inside of <td id="topnav> or into the tabel thats nested in topnav and change the table width to 950

I try that and it just pops itself above the nav menu. Must still not be placing it right?

Yay, I managed to do it in the end! It was just a case of getting the link right and the whole background=. I knew it would be simple but couldn't figure it out. There goes hours of tearing out my hair. Thanks so much for looking into it for me, it helped point me in the right direction.

<td valign="top" height="100" background="http://talikins.co.nz/assets/images/logo.gif" align="right" style="background-repeat: no-repeat;" id="tnav" colspan="2">
<table width="950" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
