I'm placing an image rotator on my site. I'd like the images to have text over it. That said, it's working in IE and Chrome and Safari, but not firefox. I can't seem to find why not. Any help?

I'm working on a rotator for my site. I'm trying to add text over the picture. It works in IE and Chrome. But not in Firefox.

Here's my css

.slideshow {
position:relative;
float:left;
}

.text p {
background-color: black;
position: relative;
top: -45px;
height: 32px;
width: 650px;
color: white;
font-size: 24px;
text-align: center;
}

Hello javanewbie7,
Positioning works better if you absolutely position child elements off a relatively positioned parent. Too much position: relative doesn't always have the expected results.

Try changing that .text p to position: absolute; and adjust your top: --px; to suit.
