View Full Version : Help with dynamic CSS banner

I'm trying to make a dynamic CSS banner, however, Iím still confused on how to go about what Iím trying to do. Iím trying to make the banner for the site. I want to use an image for the right side of the banner, and Iím using the CSS width property at 30% to dynamically resize the image as the page size changes. This is working so far. Iím then floating the image left.

Then I would like to use fontís instead of images to fill the rest of the available width. Iíve created 3 floating divs and given them each a width of 70%. However, Iím not sure how I can make the fonts stretch across the divs without giving them a static size, which would defeat the whole purpose. Iíve tried a number of different ways of going about this, and digged through a whole bunch of CSS resources, and still havenít found a solution. Furthermore I donít give a damn about ie6 (however, more recent ie versions I would like to make work.)

Here (http://seattlesoft.com/farhad/temp.html) is the banner which Iím working on, the photo below is a static image which gives an idea of what Iím trying to achieve.

Why not make a nice quick Flash banner:

123-banner.com is a free flash banner generator: http://www.123-banner.com/
open-eye Banner-Generator: http://www.banner-generator.net/en/

Lot quicker and nicer. Less work...at least for me it would be.
