I have a jpeg that is copied from a powerpoint and loses it clarity if I make it 180 X 180. Are there any style settings/css or someway to manipulate it with img tag to make it look better?

Unfortunately not. You might be able to fudge it a little in photoshop, or another imaging software. Try to apply a Sharpen filter to it and see if that helps.

I assume you just copied it from the powerpoint page? To extract the original jpeg which will be better quality you need to export the powerpoint file as html. Powerpoint then automatically extracts the images and puts them in the same folder as the html file.

To do this from inside the powerpoint presentation click on File >> Save As >> Then Select .html from the format list.

PS. This also works for Word and Excel
