Aaron's Game Zone
Carefully picked best quality online flash games: http://azzaboi.weebly.com

Could people review my first game zone website, Aaron's Game Zone, and make suggestion on improvements, layout or tips you might have for white hat SEO on it. I am trying to increase traffic and page rank, while keeping it user friendly and advertising / popup free.

Thanks in advance!

No suggestions at all? Must be a super perfect site then?!?!!! lol

I have at least got some feedback from the users and updated a few things. Still any help or tips, big or small, would be highly appreciated. There must be some pro arcade webmasters out there or designers how know a thing or two.

Site Reviews is very slow and hardly anyone posts on it. The font size on the top right navigation is really tiny looks like a 10 or 11 pixel. I would increase that a little bit. Also HOME is lit up, doesn't look too great, I would remove that, and just keep the roll over. Unless it's just my view size.

Other that things look good, it loads quite slow, but it's because of all the apps you have on it.

Okay thanks, I have tried crunching down the sizes of the images as must as possible (4-5kb mostly).

It must be the chatbox slowing everything down mostly? If it's still slow for you, it loads fast for me, but tried again when I was capped at dialup speed and the header (26kb now), logo (23kb now), banner (39kb random animated gif from script), and then the chat load last.

Has anyone else used a chatango chatbox or is there something better/faster I can use? It's not used that much at the moment. Should I move the chat elsewhere or try set it disabled to start with? After 25 minutes it disables itself if idle chat.

The flash games will take a while depending on the size, not much I can do there?

What view size are you using and web-browser?

All the links 'a tags' are light blue with a black underline hover, including the top-right navigation bread crumb. What's a more user friendly way to show this without being so 'lit up'?

Yes it's the chatbox, it takes the longest to load. Why not do a PHP text chat? It'd load super quick.

Yeah on the games page, that took a good 10 seconds to load. I am on high speed DSL.

I am using 1024 X 768 and Firefox

Well on the rollover I would have it change to White with a Bold. Make it stand out when they roll over and lights it up. The black is too hard to see, hurts the eyes. I recommend taking off the Home default selected. They should all match when viewing it.

I have css all links to have a darker blue websafe colour, hopefully still looks as good, will be the same for all now and easiler to read?

Also changed the rollover to white and bold as suggested, slight increase in font size, howz that?

As the PHP Chat, I'm unsure if Weebly would support this, at the moment I'm only using free hosting and domain. A crazy kid, but without a credit card 100% freebee. :(

Looks better with the bold overlay. Easier to read now. However your Home is still lit up when loading the site.

You can get a pre-paid credit card as a teenager. You put money on it, and use it like a credit card, you can buy a domain that way.

Ohh you mean the navigation hover image (light blue background).
I have removed it for now, but it's not much visual difference between them without it i think. I also change the font sizes slightly to stand out more when hovered or selected.

Is this better or should I still have the hover but a different image or colour?

Another think I would like to know is where people look/go first when seeing the site for the first time. Did you pick the game cateogories below, just click the games tab or select a top picked from the side, etc? Google analytics is interesting, just still working heads and tails out of it.

If I can find a really good domain (I wanted aaronsgamezone.com, but already taken), I might grab it up and get a debt card like you said.

Thanks a lot for your feedback so far :)

You took away the hover. You should keep the hover, but you know when you go to the website, HOME is already selected with the light blue overlay? I just wanted you to remove that as default.

The shorter the domain name the better, like there is a employment website in my town called www.charlottesvillehelpwanted.com that is an insane amount to type for a url. Keep it short and to the point. Such as

Anything short like that, and you're welcome.

Oh ok, so keep the hover just remove it from the already selected like that? Previously it also highlighted what was selected. I think I got what you meant now, if not, you might need to take a small screenshot and point it out for me to fully understand.

Cheers for the domain name tips.
