ok this can get compressed, newermind that at this point ...
upper-center search button, upper and lower border gets hidden:

Even order of style properties within class affect how it is displayed in IE, (Chrome, FF) = OK.

Any advice ?

if I remove:



padding:1px;

then upper border appears.

Set a bit of padding to the container <div>(of those anchors), like
