I am new to CSS, so I just edit already made templetes. However, I've run into a problem.

I am trying to edit the Nav Menu so that no color or black color appears around the links. When in edit mode, I type in the code for this

" .fw-nav-menu a {text-decoration:none; background: black;} "

And in the preview it looks like how I want.

Like that.

But when I publish my page, and view my site, the color is still there.

Like that. :( Icky gray!

When in Preview mode, I can even turn the background color red, green, blue, anything!

" .fw-nav-menu a {text-decoration:none; background: red;} "

But it always come up as the icky gray on the actual site. Even after I have saved and published my work. Anyone know why this is, or am I just screwed?

Are you overwriting the CSS page online? You might edit locally and be uploading the corrections to the wrong directory. Also, you must clear your browser's cache and refresh the web page to see any changes. This is assuming you edited the correct file and uploaded and overwrote the original.

Just be sure you are editing the correct CSS file that your page is using. Don't know if you are externally linking the CSS or using embedded CSS as you gave no link to your site which would have been a great help.
