I'd like to buy a book that covers XHTML/CSS. Any suggestions?

I know it isn't a book but if I was you I would use W3schools. This is what I used to learn HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP.

http://www.w3schools.com/

XHTML - http://www.w3schools.com/xhtml/default.asp
CSS - http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp

I already use W3Schools as a reference. I don't like changing tabs every few seconds to check a tag or something like that. I'd rather look down at a book.

They have a tag list/reference for each in the menu after clicking the language you want.

http://http://w3schools.com/tags/default.asp XHTML tag list link

http://http://w3schools.com/css/css_reference_atoz.asp CSS reference link

You're not understanding, I just want to be able to look at a book. If I wanted website links I would have asked "What's The Best XHTML/CSS Site?"

You don't say what your level of skill is with the topic, but I found Head First HTML with CSS & XHTML very effective. I was already writing html with a table based website, but could not make the right connection in my brain with CSS. I found this book did its job of reinforcing the concepts. I preferred a book at that stage. Since then I have used the sources referenced by others to learn "beyond the book". It is NOT however a "reference" for easy checking of tags, etc.
