View Full Version : ie 6 div problem

i'm a xhtml/css newbie, but managed today to get my site xhtml 1.1 valid ;)
almost everything is fine, but one div gets displayed in the top, instead of the bottom by the infamous ie 6

i embedded the browserupdate.org script and have my very own upgrade notice in that div, could you help me get it fixed for ie6?
i still get occasionally some visitors who use that old beast.

my site (http://jasmu.com) and here the ie6 css. (http://jasmu.com/ndxz-studio/site/jasmu_v2/_css/ie.css)

another minor thing, could you gimme some advice on how to get my contact page valid? (http://jasmu.com/contact/)

IE6 does not support fixed position. However you may wisely tackle this drawback, see www.cssplay.co.uk/layouts/fixed.html

Line 106, Column 26: document type does not allow element "style" here

<p><style type='text/css'> That's very obvious! You need to move all <style> tags into the <head> tag

And use object tag instead of iframe, see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/985333/xhtml-1-0-strict-validate-iframes
