I consider myself to be fairly comfortable using CSS, but i have an issue where as when the code gets more complex i start to mess it up. Well it's happened again and i can't seem to fix my issue.

I have attached the file as it's quite a lot of code, but the issue is with the header. Notice when you resize the browser the search bar shoots down the screen.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

I want the #advertisement space to span across the top, where as the buttons and search to go underneath on the blue bar.

If anyone can help me clean this up i'd gladly pay for your services, alternatively i have a 75 Google AdWords voucher, or design services i can offer.

Many thanks.

Add

min-width: 1010px;

to your header css. This will cause the header div to stop being fluid right at the point the social div would come into contact with and wrap under the logo div.
