View Full Version : Move DIV up?

If you load this page and look on the left navigation bar -on top of "News" there is a MySpace logo in the wrong spot.

This is supposed to be up in the white space between the News button and below the transparent green about 25px above the button.

Any suggestions -not that good with CSS, so thanks.

nav-social #facebook span {
background:transparent url(../images/icn-social.png) no-repeat scroll 0 top;

The background is located here while this "ul" is for the menu. To place the logo in the right position you have to place this in

#chapter-info {
margin:0 3px 5px 0;
padding:9px 0 6px;

this "ul".

Hope you got my point.

Umm....I think the problem is where the facebook icon is, not the background-image which shows up fine.

There's a few odd things in your css. In fact the facebook icon is within #header in your html, but doesn't appear so because the height of #header is insufficient for its contents.

If you remove height:100px from #header, the layout changes so at least it makes a bit more sense. This places the icon in the bottom left hand corner of #header, which may not be where you want it, but is where you've got it in your html, and it's not floating on top of the menu anymore.

Assuming this isn't where you want it, then that bit of html needs to be moved outside of #header, I'd suggest. Once it's there, it can then be positioned immediately above the menu. In order to achieve this you may need to apply a width of less than 100% to #chapter-info.
