I am trying to get a window to open as a sized chromeless window.

I have been trying:

<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html;charset=windows-1252">
<TITLE>WA Total Schedules</TITLE>

<SCRIPT language="JavaScript">
<!--hide from old browsers

function WinOpen()

<BODY onload="WinOpen()">

After I click the link I would like the window to open sized and placed with limited attributes.

How can I get this window to open as a sized window?

maybe its this:

function WinOpen()
window. open('','sizedwindow','width=400,height=200,left=0,top=100,screenX=0,screenY=100')

The parameters (width, height etc) should all be on one line.

The empty '' (before sizedWindow) take the url of the page to load into the window. You can leave this blank if your writing stuff on the fly.

I am trying to open this page (as a sized paged) from a java applet that I unforntuately can't use anything more than a simple link from.

I thought I could have a window open using the <body onLoad=""> function that would open the window that would be sized and have the attributes specific to that window.

So far I haven't come up with anything that works.

I have tried javascript in the <head> </head> section.Then placeing the function in the <body onload="">.

I have also tried just placeing the function in the <body onload=""> function itself.

<body onload="javascript:window.open(etc,etc);return true;">

I have got it to open as a sized window by using this.

I still need to remove some of the attributes of the window and place the windows position.

<BODY Onload="javascript:window.resizeTo(800,500);">

I have got it to Resize then move to by using:

<BODY Onload="javascript:window.resizeTo(800,500);moveTo(10,120);">

How can I get the attributes to remove?

I have got it to work using the above post.

The only other thoughts I have are to open a parent window, then open a child window from that(the parent window) while closing the parent window simutaneously (or close to that) for a seamless approach.

The only other approach I can find is to use an signed activex control.

There seems to be an equivilent in Netscape as well.

Does anyone know which would be best and how to go about it?
