View Full Version : Shrinking banner display

I have a question on shrinking a flash banner splash intro. I have a CSS based horizontal navigation menu on top with a logo of the website on the left of that. I'd like to have a site width by 3 inch tall banner splash intro display immediately below the top menu upon the loading of the frontpage. At the end of 10 secs of animated intro, the banner should shrink to the left (till it is the width of the logo), then shrink up and disappear into the logo and the main contents on the frontpage shift up. I would like to preserve the css driven navigation for database compatibility reasons and not make the whole top in Flash. what would be the best way to make this?

I seem to have made some progress with hiding div layers using css. So please allow me rephase my original question.

Is there a simple way to change the actual dimension (width and height) of a swf file during playback? For example, if I were to have a swf showing a simple animation (i.e. bouncing balls) that is 6 inches wide by 3 inches tall at the beginning of the video, is there a simple command with flash I can embed in to make the video dimension to change to 6 inches wide by 1 inches tall at the end of the video?

Thanks in advance for the advice!
