this may be a simple thing to do but i really didnt know how to search for it.

im working on a title that is 100% width with an image in the middle of the page. what im wanting to do is have a fill image that goes across the page, a centered title image then an fill image on the left side up to the centered image.

<------------------------------title bar------------------------------>
<-----left fill-----><------centered title image------><------fill-------->

ive got the 100% width tile bar with a 1px wide repeat-x image fill and the centered title image, what i cant figure out is how to get the left side fill, its going to be a different 1px wide repeat-x image

i guess what im really looking for is a three column layout with a fixed 800px center column and variable sides, im tring to get this done without JS or tables if at all posible any help would be greatly appreciated

You will find much help here (http://exitfegs.co.uk/Sources.html). Use the search box. Section D will help.
Also very good advice here. (http://bonrouge.com/~faq)

<------------------------------title bar------------------------------>
<-----left fill-----><------centered title image------><------fill--------> I don't think it's possible. You may need to use a 3 column fixed layout like http://bonrouge.com/3c-hf-fixed.php
