I am currently building one wesbite in joomla.
Slowly and slowly , i am getting more and more knowledge about joomla.

With amount of extensions , plugins , modules available , i think many advanced features can be build in minutes , rather than custom programming the website.

By building own component we can build any website in joomla rather just blog /forums.

I am now thinking of building every website in joomla now onwards.

Is there any harm in that?

The other question why not to use joomla?

Because usually as a web designer 70% of things are common in all websites to program so it saves time as well

A simple user registration , blog , forum , CMS base website can be build in single day

I may be wrong but just correct me if i am wrong.

I use Joomla for 80% of my projects. Sometimes I use Wordpress, and sometimes I code it from scratch, but for me, gone are the days where I make HTML pages to update for the most part. There is nothing wrong with it so long as it makes sense.

You are right, and CMSs are hot right now because they are easy to plug and run. It still takes expertise to make all of the features to fit and flow together, but basic sites with minimal requirements can be built in a day.

Why not to use Joomla? Mostly it depends on if your project requires things that Joomla doesn't do well or that another system is designed to do specifically. For example, if its just a simple blog I often use Wordpress.
