Anyone know any codes for putting a video clip on a website? I tried an html one, but it only worked in IE, it refused to even show up in Firefox

You'll need a flash player. Look up the JW Video Player. It's very good; all you have to do is convert your video to FLV.

@Fisher I wanted to use the google videos, but it won't allow me to upload a video?

@Cyanlight I downloaded JW Video Player but I can't figure out how to use it. It keep telling me it's unsafe to do this and unsafe to do that.

Google doesn't allow video uploads anymore.

Then you must be downloading the wrong thing as nothing on the jw site is "unsafe".

That should be the url you download the player from.

Yes that is the website, but when I play the flash file, it says it may be harmful to continue.

Does JW player have issues with IE6? The sample I downloaded shows 2 instances of the movie. A search of their support shows this has come up before, but I couldn't see a solution.

I came across Any Flv player, which seems kinda idiotproof to use. It marks up the page with the video embeded for you: Any FLV Player (http://www.any-flv-player.com/flv_player/index.html)

IE does that. Just allow the ActiveX control or whatever. This only happens locally; on the 'net you'll be alright.

Having terrible luck here. I put a video code in, but it won't play. I don't know how to convert to SWF for a video file. Here is the page.

It works fine in IE. Check your file paths. The one in the embed isn't entirely correct.

Also the video will likely only play on Windows computers.

I wish I knew how to get it to play on all computers.

EDIT: Ah added http://www. to it and now it works. Any help on figuring out how to apply it to the inside of the div tag?

It is in the div tag but you have your background image set to not repeat.

Oh, so I need a repeat background to get it to be inside of it?
