Please Help...I made a website 95% images..need to add invisble html content

Ok lol....here's the problem. First off, I'm new to web design. I created a website using frontpage and mostly photoshop images with the content on the jpegs, thus there is virtualy no content on my site for search engines to pick up.

I didn't even think about this when making the site...just wanted it to look cool.

So my question is...How could I add "invisible" text to my webpages(only the text that is on each page via jpegs...no spam or anything...just valid content), in a way where it would be accepted by search engines, and I wouldn't get in trouble? If possible, I'd like it so it wouldn't take up invisible space (making the pages length longer visibly).

So basically, I'm not trying to deceive what-so-ever. I just want the content to be able to actually be seen by search engines. Obviously search engines can't see words on jpegs, cause it's just one image.

That article seems like it is for image replacement, not hidden html text.

Yes, isn't that what you're doing? Replacing real content with images?

what if I use the "alternative representations" in the picture properties, of the pic ,on the page in frontpage?

Will that content be good enough for search engines? It does show up in the code source.

Maybe you could try writing some content, wrapping it in #wrapper and in your CSS have
#wrapper {display:none;} (http://www.w3schools.com/css/pr_class_display.asp)

Why not chalk this one up as a valuable lesson learned and start over?
Ask for a site-review on a few different forums for ideas/suggestions/criticism on your present design, study up a bit on legitimate SEO techniques and what the search engines are really looking for, then do a re-write with some actual content.

You can add alternative text to pictures:

<img src="path_to_image" alt="your_text" />

And you can also use meta tags for a search engines, which you already have. So you will be listed in most search engines by your meta tags.


Why not chalk this one up as a valuable lesson learned and start over?
