This is a not yet launched urban fashion rating / social networking site.

A little about the concept:

RateMyFresh is an online rating site for the fashion savvy. Members can upload pictures
of themselves and have their pictures rated on a scale from one to ten based on
the way they are dressed and their overall sense of fashion.

RateMyFresh is also a social networking site for everything fashion and a great
way to meet people who share the same interest as you.

here's the testing site:

Tell me what you think about the design and functionality. We tried to keep the design simple.

Right off the bat I see thumbnails slowwwwly loading. Woah-- you have resized (for example) a 1200x1600 pixel image down to 90x120 pixels, using just the width and height attributes of your <img> tag?! For the sake of your bandwidth alone, you must create thumbnail-sized images for the thumbnail view. You gotta.

After rating about 50 pics I got this:

Warning: include(./functions_pictures.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/p/e/a/pearlga/html/functions.php on line 17

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening './functions_pictures.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php') in /home/content/p/e/a/pearlga/html/functions.php on line 17

Fatal error: Class 'pictures' not found in /home/content/p/e/a/pearlga/html/functions.php on line 18

I don't seem to be changing the average rating at all; does that happen later, or does someone's rating get updated immediately? (It doesn't seem like my voting is updating the count or average rating)

I like the overall concept.
However, I think the design looks too old. The logo is okay, but the serif font and the blue n' gray tables just don't look good (to me). Try with some better mixing colors, fresh, rounded corners or some fance graphic on the background :)

Thank you very much for your responses

Fumigator, the reason the average rating is not updating is because you have probably already rated the picture. It saves your season id in the rating and you cannot rate the same picture twice, otherwise users could simply rate their picture 10 a thousand times.

The loading speed is a very good point, I made the upload create a thumbnail picture and I will implement that before I launch. I first need to clear the database.

CaptainB, I tried to make the design very basic for now, even though it may look somewhat archaic. I'm not a very artistic person, so I have trouble with colors and fonts, but if you could suggest anything I would be grateful.
